- Nice Slice - Tasty NY style pizza. Vegan and gluten free options available
- Geoff’s Superlative Sandwiches - Delicious sandwiches named after local icons
- Not Just Snacks - Indian fare in an unassuming environment
- Original NY System Hot Weiners - A good end of the night spot. Coffee milk on tap
When You Want To Savor The Moment - i.e., you’re going to sit down and/or don’t mind spending a little bit of money
- Julian’s - Popular spot with a cool atmosphere, good for vegans and non-vegans alike
- The Grange - Vegetarian and vegan centric New American food
- Cook & Brown Public House - Cocktails and seasonal American fare
- The Red Fez - Long-standing cozy downcity spot with comfort food
- Rasoi - Upscale Indian food, vegan and gluten-free options available. My mom loves this place. - Ian
- Silver Crystal - They unfortunately don’t cater but they serve really great, authentic Cantonese food (including dim sum). It’s pretty much up there with NY/SF Chinatown. - Alice
When You Want The Sweet Stuff - i.e., you’re skipping straight to dessert
- Pastiche - Fancy desserts on Federal Hill (Providence's Italian neighborhood)
- PVDonuts - The new fancy donut place with more standard styles. Vegan options available
- Knead Donuts - The other new fancy donut place with more creative styles. Gluten-free options available
- Three Sisters - Ice cream, coffee and quick food
- Newport Creamery - Classic local chain for ice cream and Awful Awfuls (milkshakes).

Museums:
- RISD Museum - "Aht", as they say in Rhode Island. Free for kids 18 and under, and free for everyone on Sunday. Check out the giant Buddha
- Providence Children’s Museum - You know, for kids
- Slater Mill Historic Site - The birthplace of the American Industrial Revolution
- Museum of Work & Culture - Tracing the history of New England's mills and the people who worked in them
Shop:
- Frog & Toad - Enjoyable knick-knacks. Be careful, you will probably buy something great if you go here
- Craftland - Handmade items from local artisans
- RISD Works - Products made by RISD alumni
- Armageddon Records - The record store where Alice inadvertently got Ian into vinyl
Drink Booze:
- Ogie’s Trailer Park - Kitchy bar with an outdoor area and seasonal cocktails
- The Avery - Cozy neighborhood lounge on the West Side
- The Eddy - Posh cocktail bar downtown
- Isle Brewers Guild - Contract brewhouse for a bunch of local breweries (including Narragansett!) with a taproom
- Graduate Center Bar - A great beer bar in the basement of Brown University's Graduate Center (membership fee might be required)
